Cat Machine Gems — A Gemstone Art House

Founded in 2017 by artist Cat Morales, Cat Machine Gems is an international gemstone art house celebrated for its vibrant color palettes, hand-cut mineral forms, and signature gemstone “cake” and “dessert” sculptures. What began as a creative collaboration among friends has blossomed into a full-time studio practice with a devoted global collector base and a distinct visual identity grounded in craftsmanship, imagination, and the healing energy of the Earth.

Guided by Morales’s background in design and gemstone cutting, Cat Machine Gems draws inspiration from the universal harmony of Mother Nature—where color, texture, and form intersect in balance.

Today, Cat Machine Gems encompasses an evolving collection of gemstone sculptures, designer art objects, collectibles, and paintings—inviting gem lovers, collectors, and seekers of beauty to experience the transformative connection between art and Mother Earth.

Cat Morales

FOUNDER / ARTIST / CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Born and raised in California, Cat Morales began her creative journey in San Francisco, studying fashion design and textiles at the Academy of Art University. In 2005, she moved to New York City, where she worked in the film industry’s wardrobe departments. During this time, her artistic vision evolved to center on the gems, drawing inspiration from natural materials, textures, and the planet.

All art work is done by Cat Morales.

Alejandro Zamora

CO-CREATOR / HEAD GEM CUTTER

Originally from CDMX (Mexico City), Alejandro Zamora relocated to the United States before his twenties, bringing with him a strong foundation in carpentry and fine craftsmanship. Over the years, he refined his expertise in architectural molding, millwork, and high-end fabrication, later expanding into New York City’s nightlife scene as a promoter and creator of immersive event installations.

In 2014, Alejandro began training as a gemstone cutter—a natural evolution of his technical mastery with industrial machinery and precise construction methods. His spatial intelligence, precision, and artistic intuition quickly distinguished his work, leading him to become Head Cutter and Co-Creative Director at Cat Machine Gems.

Today, Zamora’s rare fusion of industrial skill and artistic direction is central to the studio’s creative process. Working alongside founder Cat Morales, he continues as Co-Creative Director, helping to expand and refine her visionary concept for Cat Machine Gems.

Sculpted by Earth & Shaped by vision

Every crystal is formed through time, pressure, and the quiet alchemy of the Earth—each one unique, just like people. Each creation celebrates the inner light, strength, and unrepeatable beauty that define both gem and spirit—revealing the rare, radiant essence within us all.
